CHAPTER 7
FORRESTER'S POV
Father's and Doctor's
I lied to her. I had to. My mom said she only needed to stay that day, but I already talked to my dad and he said he will get the cabin ready for us for the rest of the week.
I look to the sleeping figure next to me, her one arm is wrapped around her stomach. It has been like that since we heard that she only lost one baby last week. My mom said it does not happen often, but according to her my sweet girl carried twins and one of them were not strong enough to hold on. She lost the one...only the one.
As soon as my mom realised this, she came out of the get me in the waiting room, giving me an earful about responsibility to her future granddaughter - o yeah - and said I had better make things right with her mother before we come back from the cabin. She then asked for Ruby's dorm keys and my house keys. She did not say why, but knowing my mom we are going to get more than just a little surprise when we get home. That sounds so good, I think Ruby, me and our little daughter. Fuck Chase, he was just a sperm donor as far as I am concerned the fucktard never have to know, he gave up the rest when he hurt their mother.
My dad has provided me with a trust fund big enough to support the three of us comfortably and I know my mother she will help wherever she can.
Sighing I realise that I have been so engrossed in my own thoughts I have not realised that we are in front of my father's cabin. Stopping the car, I turn to Ruby, placing my hand underneath hers on her stomach a feeling of warmth spreading through me.
"Ruby wake up, we are here." She glances at me, stretching out her one hand behind her head, the other that is trapping my hand now on her stomach clenches over mine for a minute, a slow smile spreading over her face.
"She is already wonderful. Isn't she?"
"Just as wonderful as her mother."
She blushes slightly and then sits up stepping out of the car. "Forest this is not the dorm." She looks around a little confused, realising where we are she gives me that Ruby look.
"I know, I called my dad and asked if we could stay the week at the cabin."
"But I can't miss so much school..." I hold up my hand shushing her.
"My mom sent the university a doctor's letter." She frowns a little nodding her head, her hand fluttering again to her stomach. "Okay, I suppose rest will do me and Peanut good." She glances at me again, giving me that mega-watt smile of hers that always drives me insane.
Climbing out I go around the car to help my girl out of the car and wish I could wrap her up and our peanut up in bubble wrap.
